憂傷、失落、快樂、俏皮一直是Chantal Kreviazuk(香岱兒)的音樂帶給聽眾的感覺，利用截然不同的嗓音詮釋輕快俏皮的戀曲與心靈成長的勵志小品，讓樂迷每次聽見香岱兒的作品，都會產生些許不同的微妙感觸，這位來自加拿大的歌手，不論是歌唱與詞曲創作，都有相當傑出的表現，自一九九七年以處女作『Under These Rocks and Stones』創下雙白金，獲得專業評論網站(All Music Guide)四顆半星以來，Chantal Kreviazuk就以成人抒情歌曲穩固歌唱事業。一九九九年，全創作專輯『Colour Moving and Still』為她贏得加拿大朱諾獎『最佳女藝人』及『最佳成人專輯』，大碟中除了收錄『Dear Life』、『Before You』、『Blue』等佳作，也額外收錄為電影世界末日翻唱John Denver(約翰丹佛)名曲『Leaving on a Jet Plane』，影集電愛世代(Dawson's Creek)及電影航站奇緣預告插曲『Feels Like Home』，電視秀(Providence)主題曲『In My Life』。

2003年，Chantal Kreviazuk邀請到美國新生代歌手Michelle Branch(蜜雪兒布蘭奇)擔任合聲，並交出融合優雅與成熟之作『What if It All Means Something』，『In This Life』展現對愛情的奉獻(Billboard成人Top40榜第十七名)，『Time』將時間擬人化，隱喻及時把握真愛，『What If It All Means Something』令人動容，『Flying Home』將對親人的思念完全流露於歌詞中，與丈夫Raine Maida(OLP樂團主唱)合寫的『Waiting』深刻描寫兩人對彼此的關懷與愛戀。該輯是香岱兒首度進入Billboard專輯榜的作品。2006年8月，『Ghost Stories』專輯完全交由丈夫Raine Maida製作，單曲『All I Can Do』獲得朱諾獎『年度歌曲』提名，大碟亦同時入圍『最佳流行專輯』。
