這幾天開始上網看學校資料, 發現University of Liverpool為了讓on line student 可以充分享受到同在學校的資源, 真的花了不少功夫.
其中Writing Centre是讓我印象深刻.
一般總以為要英文很好, 才能去唸研究所. 但發現University of Liverpool竟設立一個Writing Centre, The goal of the Writing Centre is to help you improve your academic writing skills over the duration of your programme and to become better writers. 也就是要把我們多年的職場專業, 透過學術的學習, 變成一個更好的經驗傳承者.
尤其, University of Liverpool非常強調要學習如何引用他人的文章方式, 他們是採用(American Psychological Association (APA)引用方式, 而且非常強調不可剽竊他人的文章. 一定要誠實地引用.
其實我對寫英文 assignment 怕怕的, 因為書寫商用英文很多年, 從來沒有受訓過學術英文.
本來, 回老東家接 security PMM, 要弄一堆 Marketing的事, 己經覺得很有挑戰.
這下子, 進入online MBA, 又是訓練自己腦袋的新時刻來了.
